    SCSD2 is seeking a friendly, independent and reliable candidate to join the Human Resources Department. This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, and Fridays from 7:30am to 4pm. This position will work 240 days and receive 19 paid holidays, 12 paid sick leave days, 2 paid personal days, and 12 paid vacation days annually.

    STARTING WAGE:  $22.85 - $25.85 per hour, depending on experience.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field and experience performing human resources related job functions is preferred. A PHR or SHRM-CP Certification is desirable but not required.

    REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director.

    JOB GOALS: This position performs a variety of routine and technical duties in multiple areas including recruiting, employee benefits, new hire onboarding, Workers Compensation, and FMLA. This position also oversees the district's recruiting & hiring software including training users, and serves as a point of contact on HR inquiries for employees and applicants. 

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Serves as the system administrator of the District's hiring and record keeping software; maintains this software including posting job announcements; updating forms; maintaining job templates, applications and system correspondence; updating employee accounts and associated access; compiling reports and making recommendations for improvement.

    2.  Assists hiring managers with recruitment strategies and facilitates proper and complete utilization of the District's hiring policies, procedures and applicant tracking software.

    3. Processes all new hires, transfers and re-assignments including pre-employment screenings and new hire paperwork. Reviews official transcripts, VOS forms and PTSB certifications for initial placement on the certified salary schedule.

    4. Enters data into a variety of electronic systems and reports with information pertaining to benefit enrollments and employment status changes.

    5. Helps new hires understand and enroll in District benefits within necessary timelines; helps coordinate annual open enrollment periods; and assists with monthly and annual compliance as mandated by the Affordable Care Act. 

    6. Responds to general inquiries regarding employee benefits and personnel related procedures; handles general customer service inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.

    7. Ensures proper, valid certification for all staff during new hire processing.

    8. Reviews injury reports for completeness and adherence to established guidelines and  helps identify opportunities to improve service delivery methods and procedures.

    9. Receives, reviews and submits workers' compensation incident reports to the state;  assists staff with worker's compensation inquiries; and reports suspicious, questionable or  unusual incidents to the Human Resources Director.

    10. Tracks FMLA requests including staff correspondence and maintenance of electronic medical files; monitors staff absences on a monthly basis to ensure FMLA rights and notifications are sent in a timely manner. 

    11. Reviews, tracks and processes lane change requests for certified staff.

    12. Assigns contracts, work agreements and extra duty contracts to District employees upon School Board approval.

    13. Compiles and maintains data for the Wyoming Department of Education including, but not limited to, 602 reporting.  

    14. May assist in processing Substitute Teachers, Student Teachers, Volunteers and Contractors including scheduling interviews and processing paperwork.

    15. Acts as a liaison to district staff, students, and the community.

    16. Maintains high levels of confidentiality regarding applicants, employees and students.

    17.  Participates in the development, coordination and administration of special projects or programs as assigned; and performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
